【摘要】:Thistestmethodfordeterminingthepuncturestrengthofgeotextilesistobeusedbytheindustryasanindexofpuncturestrength.Theuseofthistestmethodistoestablishanindexvaluebyprovidingstandardcriteriaandabasisforuniformreporting.Thistestmethodisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsofgeotextiles.Incaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingthistestmethodforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensthenshouldberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudent''st-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingisbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinthelightoftheknownbias.Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletomaterialsthataremanufacturedinsizesthataretoosmalltobeplacedintothetestapparatusinaccordancewiththeproceduresinthistestmethod.Furthermore,itisnotappropriatetoseparatepliesofageosyntheticorgeocompositeforuseinthistestmethod.1.1Thistestmethodisanindextestusedtomeasuretheforcerequiredtopunctureageotextileandgeotextile-relatedproducts.Therelativelylargesizeoftheplungerprovidesamultidirectionalforceonthegeotextile.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
